T his November, "Modern Discoveries" presented by Sotheby’s Asia brings together a curation spanning the breadth of pivotal modern art movements and mediums. Notable highlights of the sale include extraordinary paintings on paper by Chu Teh-Chun, Zao Wou-Ki, and Walasse Ting, alongside oil on canvas masterpieces by André Brasilier, Hung Wu Shen and Chen Junde, two lithographs by Marc Chagall and stunning watercolours by Bernard Buffet, Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, and Cheong Soo Pieng. A beautiful selection of ink paintings by the likes of Irene Chou, Chen Wen Hsi, Teng Pu-Chun, Hsiao Ming-Hsien, among others, completing the eclectic array from across the vast regions of Asia, Europe, and beyond.
