Modern Art Day Sale will extend the strong lineup of artists from Evening Sale, bringing together Asian and European masters such as Sanyu, Ding Yanyong, Walasse Ting, Ai Xuan, Wang Yidong, Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita and André Brasilier, whose works will present a comprehensive overview of figurative art from the 20th century. Ren Zhe, Ju Ming and Matteo Pugliese will inaugurate a cross-boundary dialogue in sculptures. The part on abstract art will be led by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Zao Wou-Ki, Chu Teh-Chun, Lalan, Georges Mathieu, Hans Hartung, Walasse Ting, Liu Kuo-Song and Wang Jieyin, whose works inspire a discussion on the relationship between landscape and abstractionism. As a succession of last season’s curated sale, this Autumn welcomes the second and final edition of “The Bell’s Collection of Postwar Chinese Art”, as well as private collections of Ho Kan from his dear friends in Parma and Milan.
