Sotheby’s proudly presents its Singapore Inaugural Whisky Sale: Fine & Rare Whisky | The Inaugural Singapore Auction to help you discover the hidden gems in one of the most exciting spirits market in Asia.
Home of some of the most amazing whisky bars in the world, hosting numerous exciting whisky events, and housing some of the biggest whisky collections in the world, Singapore has been a rising star in the whisky market for the past 10 years. Sotheby’s is therefore extremely excited to be able to provide its services for the whisky community for the first time by announcing its Inaugural Whisky Auction.
This sale comprises of an equal mix of top tier Japanese whiskies as well as old and rare scotch. As a start, you will find a full set of the famous Karuizawa 36 Views of Mount Fuji set, the full range of all colours of Karuizawa Geisha released by The Whisky Exchange, the famous Karuizawa 1967 Cask #6426 both the LMDW version and TWE version, as well as a great variety of Yamazaki Single Casks. For Scotch whisky, we are extremely excited to present the full vertical vintages of Macallan from 1946 to 1986, a rare scene to come by and a collectors dream to witness the history of Macallan. Classics such as the Bowmore Bicentenary, Springbank 50 Year Old Pear Shape bottle and Laphroaig 1974 31 Years Old will also be on display. One of the rarest items in this sale is an entire full case of the 1980s Lagavulin 12 Year Old, both the clear bottle version and the green bottle version being presented in original full case. For collectors obsessed with legendary bottles from independent bottlers, we present to you a wide variety of old Samarolis including the Ardebg 1975, Bowmore 1972 and Springbank 1965. From another beloved independent bottler Corti Brothers, we have the Glen Grant 10 YO, Springbank 1958, 1969, and the most prized bottle of them all, the Clynelish 1965 21 Year Old Corti Brothers, a legendary bottle scoring 98 pts on Whiskyfun.
