Exhibition • 14–20 March 2024 • New York

S otheby’s is pleased to be presenting a unique exhibition of Chinese Imperial portraits to coincide with the March Asian Art auctions in New York. The thirteen paintings were carefully collected over four decades by Dora Wong, a New York-based fashion designer with a keen eye for quality. Highlights include the only surviving Imperial portrait of Fu Heng (1720-70), the Chief Grand Councillor to the Qianlong Emperor (reigned 1735-96), and portraits of the Manchu prince and regent Dorgon (1612-50), Admiral Guan Tianpei (1781-1841) and Yunli (1697-1738), Prince Guo Yi of the First Rank.
