S otheby’s is delighted to present our latest spirits sale in Hong Kong, Distilled | Whisky + Moutai. The sale showcases a comprehensive offering of rare Japanese Malts. Besides the most sought-after names such as Karuizawa, Hibiki, Hanyu and Yamazaki, collectibles including Chichibu, grandson of the founder of Hanyu distillery, Yoichi, Miyagikyo and Akashi is also presented. Exceptionally fine scotch from iconic distilleries such as The Macallan, Laphroaig, Port Ellen and Springbank provide highlights which include The Macallan Fine & Rare 22 Year Old 1990 and The Macallan Select Reserve 52 Years Old 1946. Featured also is the Chinese spirit Sunflower Moutai from the 1970s, as well as Kweichow Moutai with selection from the 1990s through recent years.
