Buccellati: A Silver Menagerie
Since their founding in 1919, Buccellati has been recognized for fine Italian craftsmanship. In particular, their signature silver animals are admired for their realistic methods of depicting fur, feathers, and different types of skin. Buccellati created the method of welding countless silver filaments of varying length and thickness to give the appearance of the natural coat, a method that demands a high level of skill and mastery of soldering techniques.
