LUST AND EROTICISM: Property from a Distinguished Private Collection, London

The auction includes an exciting selection of works from a prominent London-based collector, whose passion for and fascination with the male anatomy has shaped this cutting-edge collection. From Robert Mapplethorpe to Wolfgang Tillmans, the collection brings together the most important photographers of eroticism and the male form from the past half century. The collection features the auction debut of American artist Bastille, whose work is deeply inspired by Tom of Finland’s ground-breaking erotic illustrations. Sotheby’s is delighted to offer this bold and refined collection, with our guest curator Russell Tovey, an avid follower of Wolfgang Tillman’s work.
