Description
This Franck Muller Double Mystery Black Sapphire has a beautifully engraved mechanical automatic self-winding Franck Muller caliber 2800 movement. It's rhodium-plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment on the bridges, a straight-line lever escapement, 25 jewels, and a shock absorber device. It includes a monometallic Glucydur balance, a platinum ball-bearing rotor, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).

The Double Mystery watch refers to the lack of hands on the dial of this watch. The ingenious movement allows the two discs to rotate separately. With Black Sapphire hour markers and hands, a full pave diamond dial, and a full pave diamond case, the watch is incredibly eye-catching and a sight to behold. The movement on show is the Double Mystery — the mystery being that there are no traditional hands at play here, rather two triangles nestled amongst the brilliance of the fully set dial.

Very GoodCase is in overall very good condition with light surface wear and polish at the caseback. Dial is in overall very good condition. Movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
