Description
The heritage of IWC is deeply rooted in the American pioneering spirit and entrepreneurship. Florentine Ariosto Jones, a watchmaker from Boston, founded the International Watch Company in 1868. He drew on the help of eminently qualified Swiss watchmakers, modern technology and hydropower sourced from the nearby Rhine to manufacture pocket watch movements of the highest possible quality. The Rauschenbachs, an industrialist family from Schaffhausen, took over the company following Jones’ return to the United States. During its early years, IWC produced pocket watches with a digital “Pallweber” display, as well as wristwatches for women and men.
This Da Vinci reference IW459307 is an automatic wristwatch with moon phase, circa 2017, stainless steel case with diamond, in diameter 36 mm, water resistance approximately 30 meters. Automatic movement caliber 35800, frequency 28800.0 VPH (4.0 Hz) and 25 jewels, power reserve approximately 42 hours. Central hacking seconds, sapphire glass, convex, antireflective coating on both sides. Moon phase display and silver dial. Dark brown alligator leather strap with fold clasp. This watch comes with paper and box.

FairThe watch is in overall fair condition. Case is in overall fair condition with moderate surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Bracelet color faded out and damaged heavily towards the end of the strap at 12 o'clock side, has signs of stretch, scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle has signs of scratches. Crystal has signs of scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Case back has signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
