Description
The first Navitimer was designed for the US Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and did not feature the Breitling brand or logo on the dial. However in 1956, just a few years later, the Navitimer was made available on the open market with the Breitling name and a stylized winged logo above. All watches featuring AOPA winged logos were signed "AOPA," which was another easy way to spot if an early Navitimer was sold to the AOPA, while unsigned stylized winged logos were commercialized through Breitling's worldwide distribution network.

Stainless steel case and bracelet with folding buckle. White dial. Water resistance approximately 30 meters. Case size in diameter 42 mm. This watch comes with paper only.

FairThe watch is in overall fair condition. Case is in overall fair condition with moderate surface wear. Bracelet has signs of stretch, scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle has signs of scratches. Crystal has signs of scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Case back has signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
