Description
The Rolex Air King was introduced in 1945, alongside the Datejust, as part of the celebration of the brand's 40th anniversary. The model gained more popularity after 1957 and the presentation of the 5500, which is now considered as a classic from the brand. Later on, the Air King went through further modifications and references, with the 14000 (1989) marking the sapphire crystal and the then new calibre 3000. In 2007, Rolex introduced the modern "6-digit" references Air King, the 114200 with a smooth bezel, 114210 with a rotating bezel and the 114234, such as this lot, with a white gold fluted bezel.

Very GoodThe watch is in very good overall condition with minor signs of surface wear hardly visible with naked eye. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
