Description

Reference 5032 was produced in small numbers from 1995 to 2001. With its classic styling and rare "bassine" case, the model is reminiscent of the famous complication references of the 1950s and 1960s such as the 2499 and 2438-1. Like those references, the watch has rounded sides to the case, stepped down-turned lugs and a raised scooped bezel. Interestingly, the model uses a mini-rotor rather than the large semi-circular automatic rotor found in most automatic Patek Philippe wristwatches.

Includes Patek Philippe pouch.

The watch is in overall very good condition with light wear throughout commensurate with age. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.

Please be advised that bands made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) cannot be shipped outside the country of sale. We reserve the right to remove these bands prior to shipping.
