Description
The reference 5140 was introduced at Basel World 2006 and was produced until 2017. The model was originally presented in white gold, including this watch. The reference 5140 was then made available in yellow gold in 2007, followed by platinum and pink gold in 2010.
The 5140 had the challenging task to replace the popular reference 3940. In order to give a more modern look to the classic automatic perpetual calendar, the new model had a larger case measuring 37 mm. The literature on the dial is also larger to optimize the overall legibility.

Very GoodThe watch is in overall very good condition with light wear throughout commensurate with age. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
