Description
Girard-Perregaux was the result of the marriage between Constant Girard and Marie Perregaux in 1854, joining two watchmaking families in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in 1856.
By 1906 Girard-Perregaux underwent a considerable transformation. The brand acquired la maison Jean-François Bautte, a very successful watch brand in its own right. Amalgamating both company workshops, styles and techniques meant Girard-Perregaux evolved, giving the brand a horological history beyond its own existence to the origins of J.F. Bautte in 1791. The brand had international commercial success that both Constant and Marie witnessed before their respective deaths in 1903 and 1912.
This Richeville reference 2655 is a stainless steel quartz wristwatch with date, circa 2000, stainless steel case size in diameter 30x30 mm. Stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp. Quartz movement with date window at between 1 and 2 o'clock. Purple color dial.

Very GoodThe watch is in overall very good condition. All diamonds are intact. Case is in overall very good condition with minor surface wear. Bracelet has minor signs of stretch, scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle has minor signs of scratches. Crystal has minor signs of scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Case back has minor signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the battery may need replacing at the buyer's discretion.
