To create the iconic J12 in 2000, Chanel adopted an avant-garde approach and selected a revolutionary material that made it possible to produce an intensely black watch. Extremely durable and hardly scratchable, plus seven times more resistant than steel, yet lighter and softer to the touch, ceramic is among the emblematic materials in Chanel watchmaking.

This J12 is a black ceramic and stainless steel wristwatch with a baguette-cut diamond-set bezel and dial, black highly resistant ceramic and stainless steel case and bracelet, with folding buckle. Unidirectional rotating bezel. Diamonds weighing a total of of approximately 5.85 carats. Stainless steel screw-down crown with black highly resistant ceramic cabochon.
