This copy extra-illustrated with 12 original photographs of the actor William Holden (1918-1981) and company; Holden had co-founded the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy in the 1960s with his friend Don Hunt, from whose library this copy comes. The photos show Holden, Hunt, the actress Stefanie Powers, and other friends in Kenya, with several of the photos including wildlife. The book is dedicated to the memory of William Holden, who died shortly before publication.
