Description

A group of chromolithographs depicting Mexican peoples, circa 1890.

  • Sold as a set of 18, mounted together.
  • The only inscriptions are on one picture: “India de Santanita,” which seems to describe the woman depicted on a small boat, to which is inscribed the name “La Pasadita.”
  • Santa Anita (”Santanita”) is a town in the middle of Mexico that was founded in 1500.
  • Collage chromolithographs with natural and colored feathers mounted on card, edges gilt.
  • Displayed in one large window mount.
  • Works presented mounted and unframed.
