Description

Framed Japanese woodblock triptych.

  • Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (Japanese, 1839-1892).
  • Oban tate-e triptych depicting The Difficult Battle at Daijuji Temple (Mikawa gofudōki no uchi daijuji gonansen no zu) from the Later Gazeteer of Mikawa.
  • Terrific depiction of an event from the book "Mikawa Go Fudoki," which details the military exploits of Tokugawa Ieyasu before he became the first shogun of Japan.
