Description

Charles Umlauf (American, 1911-1994).

Sold as a set of 2.

Employed from 1934 through 1941 by the WPA Federal Art Project, Umlauf's sculptures are heavily influenced by the Art Deco movement.

This dramatic pair features a woman reading to children, and a woman releasing a dove with the children standing at her side.

Set into wooden mounts for wall display.
