Max Rippon (American, b. 1983).
This work is offered in an artist frame.
Max Rippon’s works analyze and re-appropriate daily communications in text including all its semantics, forms and symbols. In the early years of his career, Rippon lived and worked in Barcelona producing art painted in his studio as well as on the streets. Today, his murals and public works can be found in walls, villages and abandoned structures in 36 countries. An avid writer himself, Rippon’s work often depicts texts from daily life re-examined under the artist’s focus on typography, calligraphy and symbols. Sarcasm and a good sense of humor is important for both the artist and in viewing his works.
