Ho Jae Kim (South Korean, b. 1993).
This work is offered unframed.
Ho Jae Kim received a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and is currently based in Brooklyn, NY. His work has been exhibited at Christie’s, New York (2022 and 2020); NADA New York (2022); EXPO Chicago, online (2021); SPRING/BREAK Art Show, New York (2020); and K&P Gallery, New York (2019). His work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Forbes, and Artsy, among other publications.
Subdued yet emotionally provocative works are the cornerstone of Kim’s practice. Kim’s art exists in a space which teeters between beauty and disturbance, a visual reference to the artist’s interest in the idea of purgatory. In recalling the liminal, Kim gracefully balances opposites–heaven and hell, past and present, isolation and community–to craft profoundly haunting art.
