Description
Signed first edition copy of Christina's World, which documents the subject of Wyeth's best-known image.
Presented here in 261 illustrations is Christina Olson, the last of a branch of a Maine coast seafaring family. Through a collection of personal photographs, we see her as both child and adult, her house and the objects that surround her. In passages quoted from her letters, we hear her own voice. In paintings by Andrew Wyeth and text by Betsy James Wyeth, we are introduced to the haunting world in which she lived. A companion volume to Wyeth at Kuerners, this book has a tighter focus on Christina herself.
