NIKE, NIKE AIR JORDAN 3 RETRO, SIZE 10.5
Rubber, Cotton, Leather
2018
Offered in this lot is a Tinker Hatfield and Justin Timberlake Dual-Signed Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro Mocha from 2018. The sneakers are from the personal collection of Tinker Hatfield who donated the piece to the Irvington Elementary School Auction in 2021.
Originally released in 2001 and reissued in 2018, the Air Jordan 3 Mocha showcases a crisp white tumbled leather upper, complemented by Mocha Elephant Print overlays.
The visionary behind some of Nike’s most iconic shoes, Tinker Hatfield is a bonafide legend among sneakerheads. For four decades, the designer—who now serves as Nike’s Vice President for Design and Special Projects — has applied his singular genius to creating shoes that combine technical and aesthetic innovation with compelling narratives. Among Hatfield’s numerous contributions, his work on the Air Jordan line stands out, both for its enduring popularity and its industry-transforming significance. In an unprecedented collaboration between designer and player, Tinker Hatfield worked closely with Jordan to create some of the most coveted Nike Air Jordan models of all time, beginning with the 1988 release of the Air Jordan 3.
Justin Timberlake’s deep admiration for both Michael Jordan and Tinker Hatfield is evident through his longstanding relationship with the brand. A consistent collaborator, he has championed the Air Jordan 3 in multiple exclusive releases, including the ‘Legends of the Summer’ series and the Air Jordan 3 "JTH," famously debuted during his Super Bowl LII halftime performance.
This pair comes signed by Tinker Hatfield across the toe box and Justin Timberland across the collar on the left shoe. This lot is accompanied by a letter from James Spence Authentication in regard to the signatures.
