Norimitsu was active circa 1439-1512. Bizen work during the Muromachi period has three notable styles that are divided by imperial era reigns: Oei (1394-1428), Eikyo (1429-41) and Eisho-Tensho (1504-21; 1573-92), also known as late Bizen (Sue Bizen). Norimitsu was a representative smith of the Eikyo Bizen group.
