Description

A pietra dura plaque representing the harbour of Livourne, by the Grand Ducal Workshop, Florence, after a design by Giuseppe Zocchi, mid 18th century

Including chalcedony, Bohemian and Sicilian jaspers, lapis lazuli, rock crystal, cornelian, giallo antico, white marble, alabaster, amongst others, with inscription “S.A.R / FIRENZE”, within its original gilt-bronze frame, the masks added later
