Probably by descent in the Jones family, Fonmon Castle, Glamorgan;

Thence by descent in the Boothby family at Fonmon Castle, Glamorgan, to the present owner.

The Jones family were connected to the Boothby family by way of the marriage of Clara Valpy (1877–1869), the daughter of Edith Alicia Jones and Robert Arthur Valpy (1844–1894), to Sir Seymour Boothby (1866–1951).
