Gold watchchain and a collection of jewels, mid- to late 19th century

Comprising: a fancy-link watchchain, length approximately 1620mm; a ring set with a rose diamonds, applied with black enamel, size 53, five small diamonds deficient; a locket, the lid decorated with a pansy set with polished amethyst and half-seed pearls, opening to reveal two locks of hair; a spherical brushed gold pendant containing a compass; a pendant designed as a gnome smoking a pipe riding a carved malachite; and a locket set with a turquoise cameo, opening to reveal a portrait photograph of Princess Sophie of Saxony, Duchess in Bavaria (1845-1867).
