Description
Centering a roundish natural pearl measuring approximately 6.80 - 6.85mm within a border of old cushion-shaped diamonds, on a polished gold curb-link chain, length approximately 180mm, Austrian assay mark for gold, fitted case stamped Moritz Hübner.
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 140860, dated 6 September 2024, stating that the pearl was found to be natural, saltwater.
Archduchess Maria Immaculata of Austria-Tuscany, Duchess of Württemberg (1878-1968) can be observed wearing a highly similar bracelet in several photographs. Her handwritten inventory no. 64 describes 'a gold chain in the middle 1 pearl surrounded by 14 brilliants'. This closely matches this bracelet which is, however, set with 11 instead of 14 diamonds. The aforementioned bracelet was given to her as a confirmation present by her sister and godmother Archduchess Maria Theresa of Austria-Tuscany (1862-1933) on 1 August 1888.
