Description
Steinway & Sons, Serial No. 430947, 6ft 2in Model A grand piano, with satin ebonised casework, raised on three square tapered legs terminating in brass cappings and castors, with faux-ivory keys and three brass pedals.
Resident at Abbey Road Studios' Studio 3 between 1973-2016, where it was used relating to dozens of iconic tracks and albums by some of music's biggest artists including Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Radiohead, Kate Bush, Foo Fighters, Paul Weller, Tom Newman for ‘Skyfall’, Amy Winehouse, Florence and the Machine, Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, Gary Barlow, Manic Street Preachers, Mumford and Sons, Sam Smith, and more.

Installed in Studio 3 at Abbey Road Studios in late 1973, used 1973-2016 and sold in 2016.
Acquired by the current owner in 2016.
