Sotheby’s London’s annual Old Master Prints sale will feature early graphic works by the European artists who revolutionised Western printmaking. Open for bidding from 29 November – 6 December, the auction will be led by fine examples of Martin Schongauer’s The Crucifixion with Four Angels and Albrecht Dürer’s Saint Eustace, alongside sought-after portraits and biblical scenes by Rembrandt van Rijn. Other highlights will include engravings After Hieronymous Bosch and by Hendrick Goltzius, as well as dramatic and painterly prints by Francisco de Goya. A selection of works will be on view in Sotheby’s New Bond Street galleries during Masters Week.
