Interlacing these movements, counter-movements and cross-currents, which defy categorization by continent or medium, the Modern Day Auction encapsulates the innovative ways in which artists have dared to challenge artistic norms and to define art history through their unique visions.

Effective May 20th, 2024, Sotheby's has lowered its Buyer's Premium rates and removed Overhead Premium for all categories excluding Wine & Spirits.
