Anonymous sale, Vienna, Dorotheum, 21 October 2014, lot 79 (as Master of the Naumberg Madonna);
Thereafter acquired by the present collector.
The present tondo, a quintessentially Florentine form, is based on a composition by Lorenzo di Credi today at the Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence (1890 inv. no. 3244).
