0xhaiku, an innovative artist and former software developer, is at the forefront of exploring the artistic possibilities within the Web3 space. His work delves into themes of "open system art" and "relational art in Web3," blending conceptual and poetic expressions to create thought-provoking pieces. 0xhaiku's unique approach has garnered significant attention, with several of his works being nominated by collectors' votes in the "Conceptual NFT" category of jpg.space in 2023. Additionally, his work was selected for The Lumen Prize Award Longlist in 2023, further cementing his reputation as a pioneering figure in the digital art world.

For the Lumen Prize Anniversary auction at Sotheby's, 0xhaiku presents "Receipt 0.0511 ETH," a conceptual artwork that uses NFTs to explore the relationship between value and visual representation. In this project, the amount paid by the collector determines the visual outcome, with each transaction creating a unique token that is minted on-chain. The code to generate the artwork is executed entirely on-chain, making the transaction itself an integral part of the artistic process. This innovative approach highlights the participatory nature of digital art in the Web3 era, where the collector's involvement directly influences the final piece.

"Receipt 0.0511 ETH" is part of a larger series collected by Fingerprints DAO, a well-known collector of on-chain pieces. This work exemplifies 0xhaiku's commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible with blockchain technology and NFTs. His recent exhibitions, including "Made in Contract" at Neort++ in 2023 and "Bright Moments Venice" in 2024, showcase his ability to create compelling and immersive experiences that challenge traditional notions of art and ownership. As an artist deeply engaged with the evolving landscape of digital art, 0xhaiku continues to inspire and explore the poetic potential of code.
