Benefitting ICA San Diego’s exhibitions, programs, and artists

Sotheby’s and Institute of Contemporary Art San Diego (ICA San Diego) are honored to present ICA San Diego’s inaugural online benefit auction in support of its exhibitions, learning and engagement programs, and artists. With locations in Balboa Park as well as Encinitas, ICA San Diego builds vibrant communities through the transformational power of art.

The auction includes artworks by local and international artists, including Taylor Chapin, Hugo Crosthwaite, Danielle Dean, Las Hermanas Iglesias, Carlos Martiel, Roman De Salvo, Edra Soto, de la Torre Brothers, and more. 

In addition to the week-long online auction, ICA San Diego will present an Art Party and Live Auction at its Central campus in Balboa Park on November 2. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine and cocktails, view all auction pieces and meet fellow contemporary art enthusiasts prior to the Live Auction. All auction VIP ticket holders may view works a day early, on November 1st, at ICA San Diego / Central in Balboa Park. Funds raised during the online and live auction will support ICA San Diego’s curatorial program in 2025 through exhibition product, artist stipends, and professional development offerings. ICA San Diego’s exhibitions and community events introduce the public to contemporary art through today’s most relevant topics. We bring contemporary art into classrooms across the county, and provide professional and financial resources for emerging and mid-career artists.
