Cartier

The Calibre de Cartier collection introduced an Astrotourbillon in 2011, named after its advanced tourbillon component which orbits the dial once a minute, relying on a manually wound movement. The addition of a tourbillon to the face of the watch exhibits the complexity that powers the present Calibre de Cartier wristwatch. Otherwise, the layout of the dial remains relatively simple, with only an adornment of Roman indexes - a classic choice of Cartier’s - around a clean silver dial. Furthermore, the blued hands can stand out further through the elevated centre piece of the dial as they hover over the hour and minute track, bearing the Cartier tradition while boldly moving into the future.
