Stamped thrice MADE IN FRANCE on the underside

Height without lampshade : 155 cm ; 61 in.

Acquired by the present owner at the DeLorenzo gallery in 1989, New York

This lot is sold with a certificate of authenticity from the Comité Giacometti and is recorded in the database of the Fondation Giacometti, the Alberto Giacometti Database, under the number AGD 4639.


Our model, distinguished by its narrow base and elongated shaft, was only produced between 1933 and 1939, unlike the second version of this floor lamp, which was manufactured until the 1980s.

To date, only three examples of this version have been referenced by the Alberto Giacometti Foundation, including our floor lamp.
