These red and white Reebok 'Hexride' Sneakers were worn by Yao Ming during his final five games of his career with the Houston Rockets. 


The sneakers were worn by Ming in the following games:


October 26, 2010, when the Houston Rockets played the Los Angeles Lakers. Ming finished with 9 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. The Rockets lost to the Lakers, 112-110.


October 30, 2010, when the Houston Rockets played the Denver Nuggets. Ming finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks. The Rockets lost to the Nuggets, 107-94.


November 3, 2010, when the Houston Rockets played the New Orleans Hornets. Ming finished with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 blocks. The Rockets lost to the Hornets, 107-99.


November 7, 2010, when the Houston Rockets played the Minnesota Timberwolves. Ming finished with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block. The Rockets beat the Timberwolves, 120-94.


November 10, 2010, when the Houston Rockets played the Washington Wizards. Ming finished with 1 rebound and 1 block. The Rockets lost to the Wizards, 98-91. 


This lot is accompanied by a letter from MeiGray in regards to the game use and a letter from PSA/DNA in regards to the signatures.


Going Deeper | Yao Ming


Yao Ming's NBA career was defined by his towering presence both on and off the court. Standing at 7 feet 6 inches, Yao quickly became a dominant force for the Houston Rockets after being drafted as the first overall pick in 2002. 


Known for his exceptional basketball IQ, agile footwork, and deft shooting touch, Yao was a formidable center who earned multiple All-Star selections and garnered widespread respect for his sportsmanship and leadership. Despite battling injuries that shortened his career, Yao left an indelible mark on the NBA, bridging cultures and expanding the league's global appeal, particularly in China where he remains an enduring basketball icon.


Ming ended his career with averages of 19 points per game, 9.2 rebounds per game, and 1.6 assists per game.


He is an 8-time NBA All-Star, 3x Olympian, 5x All-NBA Selection and an All-Rookie First Team NBA selection. He was inducted to the Hall of Game in 2016.
