oval, the lid enamelled en plein with a mythological subject in a gold paillon laurel frame, on a translucent blue enamel ground over wavy engine-turning, framed by a split-pearl border, the sides and base decorated with elaborate paillon garland-hung urns flanked by birds, on a translucent blue enamel ground, the dividers further decorated with opaque white taille d’épargne arches on a reeded ground, the lid struck with maker's mark crowned GRC; the base with maker's mark IGR crowned
