rectangular, all sides decorated with an engine-turned pattern of chevron and ovals, within cased scrolling border on a matted ground, the gold interior with a shallow compartment and a concealed musical movement, to be activated by the lever to the front side, later gilt-metal winder, indistinct maker’s mark, doublé mark, Paris silver 2ème titre and moyenne garantie, 1819–1838
