oval, the lid centred with a medallion representing a flower-hung gold and white enamel vase on poppy-coloured semi-translucent enamel on a grained ground, decorated with gold arabesques around white enamel shells, the sides similarly decorated, the base with engraved scrollwork and white enamel border only, apparently unmarked apart from one rubbed mark to front rim
