Provenance:

A fascinating collection, led by full cases of Lafite, other First Growths, and further Bordeaux including Yquem from the 1940s and 1950s. We continue with Burgundy offerings from revered Domaines such as Georges de Vogüé, Jean Grivot, Leroy and Jadot before heading to Champagne headlined by Louis Roederer Cristal and Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill. Italian treasures follow, from Antinori (Solaia and Tignanello) as well as Giacomo Conterno, Bruno Giacosa and Ornellaia. Ancient Madeira and a smattering of American and Australian Greats complete the line-up. In Bond lots were recently shipped from a state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled Scandinavian cellar, while the Duty Paid stock came from Eurocaves in a London house. All wines were bought through top-drawer UK wine merchants, direct from the producer or through the state alcohol monopoly, as shown by the detailed invoices kept by the vendor.
