The Lange 1 stands as a modern icon of watchmaking and was among the first four timepieces introduced when the A. Lange & Söhne brand was relaunched in 1994. It boasts an asymmetric yet harmoniously balanced dial, integrating a sub-seconds display, power reserve indicator, and the trademark outsize date window. The present model, known as the "Little Lange 1", features a 36mm case size, slightly smaller than its 38.5mm sibling.
Moreover, our featured watch is nicknamed the 'Little Darth'. This moniker stems from its black dial with applied platinum finishes, along with black date discs bearing white Arial numerals, a rarity among Lange 1 models. The little Lange 1 was introduced in 1998 until 2006 and very rarely seen. It is believed that fewer than 100 of these were made during that period in this livery.
Accompanied by its presentation case and Certificate of origin, this timepiece is an extremely elegant and rare collector’s piece.
