A monumental Sèvres ormolu-mounted pâte-sur-pâte yellow-ground vase, Vase 'Oeuf', 2ème grandeur, circa 1897

of ovoid form with flared neck, decorated in pâte-sur-pâte and outlined in gilding with four dark blue-ground oval panels of Cupid with bow and arrow within elaborate foliate cartouches issuing foliage, pendant below a pale brown faux shagreen-ground border enclosing circular blue-ground panels with a pâte-sur-pâte butterfly and scrolling foliage heightened in gilding, the neck and foot with elaborate formal foliate light blue, dark blue and marble-ground borders, mounted on an ormolu foot with beaded border, red printed Republique Française monogram and DECORE A SEVRES mark for 1897 to interior of neck;

together with a custom-made wood circular stand, 20th century, carved with acanthus leaves and four ball and claw feet, 2 pieces
