9½-inch silvered dial with outer seconds ring enclosing subsidiary seconds dial with astronomers marks and an hours dial, the endless cord weight-driven movement with tapered and shaped plates, high count train, dead beat escapement with jewelled pallets, jewelled chatons to the pallets and escape wheel, cranked crutch with micrometer beat adjustment, the separately suspended pendulum with roller suspension, wood rod and heavy lenticular bob with graduated rating nut, oscillating against a silvered beat plaque, the rectangular case with plain pilaster corners, glazed dial and pendulum access doors, the trunk door book-match veneered, the whole veneered in well-figured wood of rich colour,
