modelled after the Penfold post box, the foliate-carved top surmounted by a finial and resting on a beaded frieze, the front with a brass flap reading LETTERS above a hinged panel door opening to the ebonised interior, the door of one example with a brass-framed window containing a label printed 'KEISS' above manuscript entry, each plinth base with a single drawer
