Collection of photographs, concert programmes, posters, letters, promotional literature, articles and newspaper clippings etc.


relating to Wittgenstein at all stages of his concert career after the First World War, the concert programmes including for first performances of major works, containing information about concerts in Europe and America, together with biographical documentation, including of his military career, together with a 50-page account by Wittgenstein of his two concert tours in the Soviet Union, and many other items, including drafts of writings on keyboard music for the left hand


over 650 items in all, various sizes, in 10 large archival folders and one cloth-backed album, together with a brown leather suitcase belonging to Wittgenstein, his initials stamped below the handle (14.4 x 50.5 x 34cm), Vienna, New York, and elsewhere, late C19th-C20th
