Compare a fahua 'figural' meiping from the Qing court collection, now housed in the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in Gugong bowuyuan cang wenwu zhenpin daxi: za you cai, su sancai / The Complete Collection of Treasures in the Palace Museum: Miscellaneous Enameled Porcelains, Plain Tricolored Porcelains, Shanghai, 2009, cat. no. 234. A related fahua meiping with lotus lappets at the shoulder, from the George Eumorfopolous Collection, is illustrated in the Catalogue, vol. IV, pl. XXXV, and was included in the Exhibition of Chinese Art, Conduit Street, London, 1938. See also a fahua meiping sold at Christie's Hong Kong, Monday, 30th May 30 2005, lot 1452. All three without stand.
