The interior of the mask with a cloth label inscribed in black ink: "KIFWEBE [/] CEREMONIAL MASK [/] Basonge TRIBE [/] Ebombo KATANGA [/] Aug. 1934", and a cut, red-bordered paper label inscribed in black ink: "23."
