Description
standing high on four mostly restored feet, in the form of a tall two-tiered rectangular pedimented structure with a mask akroterion at each end and oblong aperture on top, one long side painted with a human figure and a rearing beast(?), perhaps Herakles and Kerberos, remains of a broad meander pattern on the section below, the chest probably once surmounted by a pitched roof-shaped lid.
Height 70.5 cm.
Swiss private collection, acquired in April 1969
by descent to the present owner from the above
