Description

Old Stagg Special Reserve 19 Year Old 100 Proof

Distilled in Spring 1914, bottled in Spring 1933, ullage: mid shoulder

Old Stagg was the flagship brand of the George T. Stagg Distillery, the same facility known today as Buffalo Trace. This particular whiskey has two claims to historic significance: It was distilled in 1914, two years after the legendary Col. Albert Blanton took over as plant manager – what today we would call master distiller – and was not bottled until the Spring of 1933, just months after the end of Prohibition.

1 pint (oc)
